Cookies and saved preferences

See what ASSAP Management stores in your browser, why we store it and how to change your choices.

Cookies are small text files your browser sends back to a website on later visits. Local storage (localStorage) stays in your browser until the website reads it. We use both for the functions listed below.

Your choices

You can accept or decline optional storage here at any time. Declining removes our saved language preferences, country cookie and cart from your browser, along with any old sidebar_state cookie. The language and items in the open page remain temporarily available. The consent cookie remains to remember your refusal. You can also clear site data in your browser settings.

How is the language selected?

Our hosting provider Vercel estimates the country of a visit from its IP address. Visitors from Norway get Norwegian by default; other countries get English. Language selection also works without storing the country cookie. A saved language preference takes priority, and you can always change the language in the menu. If country information is unavailable, we use your browser's preferred language: Norwegian for no, nb or nn, otherwise English. VPNs and corporate networks may indicate a country different from your actual location.

External services

Opening checkout loads Stripe for payments and fraud prevention. Stripe may use its own cookies, including __stripe_mid (up to one year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes). These are controlled by Stripe and may be required to complete a payment even if you decline our optional storage. See Stripe's list for details and current retention periods.

Stripe's cookie list

The ASAP Match page includes a Google Forms survey. The embedded form loads only after you accept optional content and storage. Google then receives information including your IP address and may use its own cookies, depending on your sign-in status and browser settings. Google controls their names and retention periods. You can also open the form directly on Google without accepting storage here. Our settings do not delete cookies that Google or Stripe have already stored on their own domains.

How Google uses cookies

We have not enabled our own analytics or marketing tools in the website's project code. Vercel Analytics is listed as a dependency but is not used in the pages.

Cookies and saved preferences

We use necessary storage to remember your cookie choice. If you accept, we also remember your language, Norway/abroad and cart, and allow the embedded Google form. You can change your choice at any time. Read more about purposes and retention.
